Songs like “Use Me”
is a contemporary track, but still has the traditionalism in the music. However, “God Do It”, which was the first single from the album, is a quartet foot stomper that was written by Knowles’ grandfather.
Then, there are songs such as “What He’s Done For Me” and “Next In Line”, which are other traditional influenced tracks with a smooth, slow to mid-tempo and “This Too Shall Pass” which has a jazz sound .

Who Is Lisa Knowles & The Brown Singers?
Stellar Award Nominees, Lisa Knowles & The Brown Singers, is a female, gospel quartet (quintet) group from Memphis, TN. The group was formed in the 70s by Knowles’ grandmother, Willie Mae Richmond whose maiden name is Brown. The group was originally named The Brown Singers of Memphis, TN, but was later changed after Lisa Knowles became lead vocalist of the group. Lisa Knowles joined the group when she was nine years old and has been leading The Brown Singers since the tender age of 12.
The voices making up the dynamic group are Lisa Knowles, Jackienna Richmond, Rachel Anderson, Sierra Ward Pope and Vanessa Knowles. The group has become one of the most respected female quintet gospel groups of their time. Over the last two decades, the group has had quartet hits such as “Work On Me” and “I Need You Lord Jesus”which are both from the album Experience Evolution: Live (released June 2009).
